Redefinition of plastic

According to data from the World Bank, Brazil occupies fourth place in the ranking of nations that produce the most plastic waste in the world. Behind the United States, China and India, the country is responsible for generating 11.3 million tons of this type of waste annually.

When disposed of incorrectly, the material can take up to 400 years to decompose — according to the Ministry of the Environment. During this period, which remains inert in nature, it has the potential to cause damage to both fauna and flora.

The best way to avoid these problems is through recycling, a process that, in addition to mitigating the pollution of forests and oceans, also reduces the consumption of raw materials. This is one of the reasons that makes the Fuplastic brick a certified ECO sustainable solution, after all, it is a product produced from the reuse of plastic. Highly resistant and 100% recyclable, the innovative material is suitable for modular constructions.

Its performance was recognized by the Brazilian Institute for the Defense of Nature, which considered that the Fuplastic brick considerably reduces impacts on the environment. To reach this conclusion, the entity measured the entire useful life of the product, in addition to the way in which the material can be disposed of and the possibility of recycling or reuse.

Through the Fuplatic brick production process, we act directly to collaborate with a paradigm shift. This is because of the 11.3 million tons of plastic waste generated in the country, around 10.3 million tons are collected and only 145 thousand tons are sent for reuse (1.28% of the total). The percentage leaves Brazil below the world average in plastic recycling, which is currently 9%

Fuplatic brick is manufactured from the recycling of polypropylene, a thermoplastic polymer produced with the polymerization of propylene or propylene gas. Among its main characteristics is the possibility of being easily molded when subjected to high temperatures. This thermoplastic is used in various everyday situations, such as packaging, toys, chairs, cups, car parts, bottle caps, among others. Once used, all of these products can be separated, cleaned and transformed into new materials — all without compromising their performance and quality.
